Pastor Durante Pardue pioneered The Anointed Word Church in July 1983. After accepting Jesus as his Saviour in 1974, he answered the call of God to the ministry in 1975. The next six years were preparation through study and "hands on experience." After having taught in Sunday School, home prayer meetings, store front meetings, tent meetings, prisons, nursing homes, School Bible Clubs, seminars, and Campmeetings at the invitation of various churches in S.C., N.C., and Georgia, he entered the Pastorate and established The Anointed Word Church.
